In the summertime, here in Marblehead it can get pretty hot, and after a long hot day at the beach or on the water, the best treat is ice cream! Lucky for you, Marblehead has plenty of spots to get the sweet treat! No matter where you are in town, there is an ice cream place nearby that will fit your cravings.
Terry’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream Shop
22 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead, MA 01945
This one is a townie favorite, located right in the center of downtown, Terry’s is one of the best spots to stop and get a cold treat! This family run ice cream joint has been around town forever, and after moving into a new location, it gives off the perfect old fashion vibe. Stop by to grab a cold treat, or just to enjoy the Karaoke they offer on Friday and Saturday nights!

This small ice cream shop is hidden in old town, and it is one of the favorites in the Marblehead area! They offer many different flavors of ice cream, and great frozen yogurt! There is an outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. One of our favorite flavors is the Coffee Oreo or the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup!

Right on Devereux beach, this small beach joint offers more than just great seafood! They have great ice cream, which is perfect right after a long day at the beach. You can bring your ice cream down to the beach, or just eat it inside to escape the hot sun!
Kell’s Kreme

This ice cream shop is located a few miles outside of Marblehead, but is definitely worth the drive! They have whole made sprinkles and amazing soft serve ice cream, which makes for the perfect combo! I would highly recommend their chocolate sprinkles, some people love them so much they get a side cup of just the sprinkles!
Captain Dusty’s Ice Cream
143 Derby St, Salem, MA 01970
Right outside of Marblehead in Salem, this ice cream shop has great ice cream! It is also located right across the harbor from Marblehead. After a long boat day, this is the perfect stop to grab a quick cold treat! It is also not a long drive from Marblehead, and you get to see a scenic view of Salem on the way! (There is also a location right on the harbor in Manchester!)
